So today is a momentous occasion in the lives of my friends Daniel, Shane, Nick and Emerson aka the amazing band Roman Holiday.
They are about to follow their dream and board a plane to tour good ol’ Blighty and I for one will be incredibly excited and proud to see them hit these shores and perform live to a UK crowd for the first (but definately not the last) time.
If you haven’t heard of these guys yet, rest assured you soon will as this talented band is heading for big things.
If you don’t believe me, just check out their following on twitter and Facebook….how often is it that an unsigned band gets such a fast-growing and loyal fan base? How often is it that an overseas unsigned band gets such a huge UK following? It’s definately a huge testament to their talent, hard work and dedication to their art.
From the catchy rock-pop fusion that is Don’t Come Around, Velvet Soul and I Think It’s Her that will have you singing along like a fan-girl (or boy) to the anthemic soul-shakers like Broken Masterpiece and Devil, Roman Holiday are already generating a back-catalogue that will stand the test of time.
Now with the new album complete, Move Your Heart / Shake Your Bones really does do exactly what it says on the tin (as we say in the UK). With tracks such as The Telephone (which in my view rivals KoL’s Arizona), the epic Blood Red Moon and the so-destined-to-be-a-hit-single Young Together, this album is proof as to why this band deserve all the success coming their way.
If you do one thing today, make sure you go check out the new single Fuel The Fire on iTunes and visit their website http://www.rohoband.com. Oh also do follow them on Twitter @Roman_Holiday and check them out on FB.
Okay, so that’s four things, but who care’s when it comes to great music??
Welcome to the UK, guys GOOD TIMES TO ROLL ON 🙂
